I have been hand quilting for several years, this was very labor intensive, not to mention time consuming. I have admired machine quilted items for a long time, but felt that I never had the time to learn this method. I have read many books on the subject, but after reading Machine Quilting Made Easy, I gained the confidence to try. It took a little practice, however this book gave me the tools to get started. I can now machine quilt two or more quilts in the time that it took to hand quilt one. I highly recommend this product.

Great Book, easy to follow, step by step black and white illustrated instructions, great colored photos of quilt projects

Machine Quilting Made Easy is a very helpful book for new quilters. It describes every detail completely and takes the fear out of starting that first quilting project. No one wants to foul up something they have spent hours piecing. This book puts you at ease to start practicing and then jump right in with confidence.

A well laid out publication, with easy to understand instructions. Samples are clear. Practice hints are invaluable. The Tables on Threads, Batting etc. are an added bonus for beginners who are unsure of these finer details. Highly recommended.

I'm pretty new to quilting and I would not have been able to finish the quilt tops I've made without this book. I've gone from simple quilting in the ditch to free motion quilting by referring to this book alone. It picks right up where books that just give patterns for quilt tops leave off. You will learn how to layer your quilt, baste it, quilt it and finally bind it, all from this book. There are quite a few photos of completed quilts that will help give you ideas on how to quilt your quilt also. The instructions are super simple yet the results are beautiful.

I am new to free-motion quilting beyond stippling and have approached it with some trepidation until now. For me, it is stitch length that makes the difference and Eve's guidance on this has been very helpful. My results have given my confidence a big boost. The designs are all straightforward and the combinations very effective.

If you are like me, love to quilt and don't have time for lessons and like to learn at your own pace, this is a great book for you. I love piecing quilts together and have been so intimidated by the actual free motion quilting process that I have been looking for books that will help me create something beyond the basics. This book has a wealth of information and starts out with 8 simple shapes that are eventually combined and she creates over 180 different designs that I can't wait to use on my quilts. One reviewer commented that the book limits the area to 4 1/2 inch blocks which are a bit tight. I have taken many of the designs and enlarged them to practice with and in time working on smaller spaces will be easier. She packs a lot of very useful tips in this book. A must have for anyone who really wants to master free motion quilting.

Of the wide variety of books on free-motion machine quilting that I have read, this is probably the very best. The advice and the exercises are good, but there is still the issue of the exercises being done on relatively small pieces of fabric. It's quite different to try the same thing on a full-size bed quilt. The 'nesting' technique, as opposed to the roll technique, for getting a clear area to quilt on is good, but I found that the 4.5" area that she recommended didn't work for me. Nevertheless, this was worth the time and money, and I did learn from it.

Very helpful for the beginning quilter. Also, allows for more creativity for the seasoned quilter.

I purchased this book to figure out how to fill in the spaces while quilting. The complex is made do-able for the lesser skilled of us. I look forward to every stitch. This is a reference I will value.

Good information and patterns given to allow continuous line machine quilting that is even and looks good.

I could have figured this out on my own. Nothing new for me. If you are quilting a very large quilt it is toooo much sewing.

A great book for those wanting to machine quilt with their home sewing machine. Lots of very helpful tips and techniques for grid quilting!

Well written, I would recommend this to someone who is rather new to machine quilting, it was quite simplistic but a good beginning point.
